IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Glory to God! In accordance to the resolutions taken by the Holy Hierarchs of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia in their Bishops Synaxis that took place 28th-29th March 2022 led by our beloved Archbishop Makarios of Australia, it is with great joy & happiness that we announce that from today our Parish of St Savvas of Kalymnos & our sister Ukrainian parish of St Basil the Great in Newcastle has now been admitted into the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese-Ecumenical Patriarchate. Our Joy is overwhelming and we wholeheartedly thank His All Holiness-the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew & our beloved Archbishop - His Eminence Archbishop Makarios for their paternal love & support they have shown to Ukraine, its people and to our humble parishes in Australia. His Eminence Archbishop Makarios as a true Father & Shepherd has opened his arms to our Ukrainian Parishes and we forever will be grateful and honoured to serve Him, the Holy Archdiocese & our beloved Ecumenical Patriarchate. We are looking forward to welcoming His Eminence, to our church for His first Liturgy with us after Easter.
