On the 4th of November 2016, our current Exarch Bishop Chrysostomos passed away peacefully after a sudden stroke in his sleep. His Funeral was conducted in his hometown & island of Aigina on Nov 8th with the blessings of Our Patriarch Philaret & the Holy Synod in Kiev. Attended by a multitude of crowd it is worthy of note that the funeral took place in the Church where he grew up in Panagia Evangelistria in Kypseli (a parish of the Metropolis of Aigina) with permission of the Metropolitan Ephrem, conducted by Metr. Ephrems own clergy with our own clergy present led by Fr Savas (Vicar General of the Exarchate) from Australia. May his memory be Eternal!
